Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan will discuss expanding cooperation in energy, transport and logistics, and collaboration in the Caspian Sea, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov said at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting, referring to the International Information Center of Turkmenistan (IIC).

Axar.az informs, citing Repоrt, that according to him, the main topic of upcoming bilateral contacts will be preparations for the state visit of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Azerbaijan. It is noted that the visit is intended to elevate the traditionally good-neighborly relations between the two countries to a fundamentally new level.

"Particular emphasis during the upcoming high-level talks is planned to be placed on expanding partnership in energy, transport, logistics, as well as within the trilateral cooperation formats in the Caspian Sea," the statement reads.
