A meeting was held between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov.
Axar.az reports that during the meeting, the current state and prospects for the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, based on friendship, brotherhood, and mutual respect, were discussed. The sides emphasized that high-level mutual visits and political dialogue have made an important contribution to expanding bilateral cooperation.
The ministers exchanged views on opportunities for developing cooperation in trade and economy, energy, transport and transit, logistics, shipping, humanitarian, and cultural fields. In this context, they highlighted the importance of strengthening regional connectivity and making more effective use of the potential of the Middle Corridor.
The meeting also addressed cooperation within international and regional organizations. The sides emphasized the importance of continuing mutual support and cooperation within the United Nations and other multilateral platforms.
The officials also exchanged views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest. The sides expressed their intention to continue joint efforts aimed at further developing Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan relations in the spirit of mutual benefit and strategic partnership.
