Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan trade turnover rises 94% in 2025

In recent years, relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan have continued to deepen, which is also reflected in the trade turnover between the two countries. In 2025, bilateral trade increased by 94%, rising from $40 million to $77.2 million. Over the past five years, trade turnover between the two countries has grown by more than 13 times.

Axar.az reports that the remarks were made by Vugar Bayramov, a member of parliament and economist.

"Clearly, the potential between the two sides is much greater. Mutual high-level visits will help make more effective use of this potential.

The parties have strengthened cooperation not only in trade relations but also in various sectors of the economy. Significant cooperation has also been observed in investment in recent years. This contributes to further rapprochement between the two states.

Overall, recent years have seen rapid development of economic ties among Turkic states and sharp increases in trade turnover. As members of the Organization of Turkic States, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan are making a special contribution not only to the development of the region but also to the broader Turkic world and its integration. In this regard, the Azerbaijani president’s state visit will not only serve to further deepen economic relations between the two countries but will also create new opportunities for closer cooperation among Turkic states," Bayramov said.

It should be noted that President Ilham Aliyev is currently visiting Kyrgyzstan on a state visit.
