Turkish media widely covers Aliyev’s key remarks -

Leading Turkish news agencies, television channels, news portals, and newspapers have widely covered key remarks made by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in his interview with Azerbaijan Television.

Axar.az reports that Turkiye newspaper highlighted the importance of the route connecting mainland Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan for Turkiye and the Turkic world, emphasizing that the TRIPP is more than just a railway and highway. Quoting President Ilham Aliyev, the newspaper noted that the route could also be used for fiber-optic cables, electricity transmission lines, and, if necessary, oil and gas pipelines.

Hurriyet, Milliyet, Star, and other newspapers also covered President Ilham Aliyev’s statements.

Anadolu Agency, in an article titled “Azerbaijani President assesses the Zangezur Corridor,” highlighted the outcomes of the historic August 8, 2025, Washington summit, noting Azerbaijan’s plans to increase annual cargo transportation through the corridor to at least 15 million tons. The agency also highlighted President Ilham Aliyev’s remarks on the railway to the Armenian border and railway works in Nakhchivan, as well as his concerns over the safety risks posed by Armenia’s aging nuclear power plant to the region.

Popular Turkish TV channels Haber Global, Haberturk, and Ulusal TV also aired reports on the Azerbaijani President’s statements and shared related news on their websites and social media platforms.
