Azerbaijan condemns terrorist attack in Pakistan

Azerbaijan has condemned a terrorist attack targeting a mosque and police compound in Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

Axar.az reports that Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry expressed condolences to the Pakistani government and people, as well as to the families of those killed, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

“We strongly condemn the terrorist attack targeting the mosque and police compound in Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Government and brotherly people of Pakistan, as well as to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.

Azerbaijan stands in solidarity with Pakistan in the fight against terrorism in all its forms,” the ministry said.

The statement came after a deadly assault in Kohat, where a suicide car bombing at a mosque inside a police compound was followed by an attack by armed militants. At least 31 people were killed and more than 100 others were injured.
