Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Duric on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Axar.az reports that during the meeting, the Ministers discussed the current state and prospects for the development of strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia, cooperation in the political, economic, trade, energy, transport and humanitarian spheres, as well as regional and international security issues.

The Ministers highlighted the important role of high-level contacts, political dialogue and inter-parliamentary ties, as well as key mechanisms including the Azerbaijan–Serbia Strategic Partnership Council, Intergovernmental Commission, and regular political consultations between Foreign Ministries in advancing bilateral ties.
