Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov addressed the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Coordination Meeting, congratulating Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed on assuming his duties as the new OIC Secretary-General.

Axar.az reports, citing Azerbaijan's MFA, that Bayramov emphasized the importance of solidarity in combating rising Islamophobia and reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s support for Palestine’s statehood.

He also expressed deep concern over the rise in regional military conflicts, calling for intensified diplomatic efforts and coordinated OIC action to combat discrimination and violence against Muslim communities worldwide.

Bayramov also outlined institutional preparations for the OIC Summit, which will be held in Azerbaijan in 2027.
