Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertugruloglu on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly session.

Axar.az reports that the ministers exchanged views on bilateral contacts and important dialogue, including in multilateral formats.

The discussions underscored the significance of the TRNC’s observer status within the Organization of Turkic States and emphasized the importance of broadening multilateral coordination and joint initiatives across the Turkic family, including preparations to the upcoming OTS Summit.

The Ministers also touched upon regional issues of mutual interest.
