On September 26, Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with Minister of Economy and Industry of the Syrian Arab Republic Mohammad Nedal Alchaar.

Axar.az reports that the sides emphasized the importance of the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum.

They also noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Syria have recently been developing with positive momentum.

The officials underlined that the meetings and ongoing contacts between Azerbaijani President lham Aliyev and Transitional President of the Syrian Arab Republic Ahmed al-Sharaa, have created a favorable foundation for strengthening bilateral political dialogue and expanding cooperation across various fields.

They also assessed the supply of Azerbaijani natural gas to Syria as a significant example of economic cooperation between the two countries yielding practical outcomes.

The meeting highlighted the significance of initiatives in the humanitarian sphere, including the project aimed at restoring educational infrastructure in Syria with the support of the Government of Azerbaijan.

The discussions also focused issues on prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Syria in the trade-economic, investment, energy, infrastructure, and humanitarian spheres.

They stressed the significance of initiatives implemented in the humanitarian sphere, including the project aimed at restoring educational infrastructure in Syria with the support of the Government of Azerbaijan.
