Ukraine's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev has thanked Azerbaijan for supporting Ukrainian children affected by the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Axar.az reports that Husyev made the remarks to journalists today at Baku airport, where a group of children from Ukraine's Kharkiv and Kherson regions arrived.

"We highly appreciate the support provided to Ukrainian children and thank the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the government, and the entire Azerbaijani people. We will never forget this," Husyev said.

He noted that Azerbaijan's rehabilitation program for Ukrainian children brings together children from the two countries, as well as their families and peoples.

"This is a very important program that brings together children from Ukraine and Azerbaijan, as well as our families and peoples. Thank you very much, Azerbaijan," the ambassador added.
