A delegation from the European Union Council's Working Party on Eastern Europe and Central Asia (COEST) plans to visit Azerbaijan following its trip to Armenia, Report informed, citing sources within EU institutions.

Axar.az informs, citing the publication, according to the sources, the delegation's visit aims to discuss EU-Azerbaijan relations and regional issues as part of the European Union's regular dialogue and cooperation with regional partners.

The COEST delegation recently visited Armenia, where it held meetings with Armenian officials to discuss the Armenia-EU relations agenda, the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA), the Strategic Partnership Agenda, security cooperation, and the development of transport connectivity. During these meetings, the Armenian side presented steps toward institutionalizing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as opportunities for regional cooperation emerging from the establishment of peace in the South Caucasus.

COEST prepares and coordinates the work of the EU Council regarding relations with Eastern European and Central Asian countries, including Armenia and Azerbaijan, and formulates the Council's positions on political issues concerning these states.
