Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, who is on a visit to Iran, has met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Axar.az reports, citing the Cabinet of Ministers, that the meeting focused on the development of Azerbaijan-Iran relations.

“The development of land, air and rail routes creates a basis for strengthening ties between Tehran and Baku,” the report said.

The meeting also highlighted transport, strengthening corridor routes and making use of existing opportunities.

It was previously reported that, as part of the delegation led by Mustafayev’s visit to Iran, a meeting was held between the co-chairs of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the two countries.
