Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Shahin Mustafayev,​ has met with Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.

Axar.az reports, citing the Cabinet of Ministers, that during the meeting, the Azerbaijani side was informed that Iran considers the U.S. and Israeli attacks on the country contrary to international law and maintains that the Islamic Republic was acting in self-defense.

“Trump is trapped in a quagmire where he can neither negotiate nor fight,” Rezaei said, adding that Iran’s conditions had been conveyed to the U.S. side.

No further details of the meeting have been released.
