Azerbaijan has discussed military and defence cooperation with the United Kingdom and Slovakia during the ADEX-2026 international defence exhibition in Baku.

Axar.az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry, that Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov held separate meetings with the UK and Slovak defence ministers attending the exhibition.

Hasanov said Azerbaijan remains interested in developing cooperation with the United Kingdom and Slovakia in all areas, particularly defence and security, and expressed satisfaction with the current state of bilateral ties.

UK Minister of State for Defence Lord Vernon Coaker and Slovak Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Robert Kalinak said they were pleased to visit Azerbaijan and attend the exhibition. They noted that cooperation between the countries’ defence institutions in military education, military-technical innovation and other areas was continuing positively.

The sides discussed future plans for cooperation in defence, security, military and military-technical fields, as well as exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
