Reliable information must become not only a benchmark of quality in professional journalism, but also in the entire information space.

Axar.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev said this in his address to the participants of the CICA Media Forum on “Building Trust through Media in a Polarized World,” organized by the Media and Broadcasting Council.

The head of state added:

“In this regard, it is of paramount importance to strengthen cooperation among public institutions, media organizations, digital platforms, journalists, scholars, and civil society. Increasing media literacy and the responsible use of new technologies are also among the essential conditions for establishing sustainable foundations for trust.”
