President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the CIS National Cuisine Festival held in Turkmenistan’s Avaza tourist zone on October 8.

Axar.az reports that the festival was also attended by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The heads of state and government learned about the national cuisines, traditions and cultural heritage of the peoples of CIS countries.

During the festival, national dishes, traditional clothing and musical performances from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan were presented to the participants.
