Under the wise leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has become a model of stability, achieved remarkable economic growth and strengthened ties with countries in the region, Israeli President Isaac Herzog said during his speech at the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
Axar.az reports, citing APА, that the Israeli President stated that during its chairmanship, Azerbaijan had breathed new life into CICA with the same vision:
“At a time of growing global tensions and declining confidence in international cooperation, Azerbaijan has managed to focus CICA’s attention on the most important issues — constructive dialogue, sustainable partnership and the search for common ground.
“In Israel, we have seen from our own experience that declarations of friendship alone are never enough. Relationships that live and endure are those that build connections in reality, support practical cooperation and identify areas of common interest. This is precisely where the promise of CICA lies. We have also seen the power of this approach up close through the Abraham Accords. Today, two of our partners are here — the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. These agreements show how overlapping interests can change political realities. Relationships that only a few years ago seemed impossible even to imagine are now a reality.”
