Armenia considering energy cooperation with Azerbaijan

Armenia intends to develop cooperation with Azerbaijan in the energy sector, Eduard Martirosyan, Director General of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant, said at a roundtable titled “3+3 Platform: Energy cooperation as a pillar of peace and security in the South Caucasus” within the framework of Russian Energy Week.

Axar.az reports, citing АPA, that Martirosyan spoke about the prospects for Armenia’s energy cooperation with neighboring countries. Speaking about Azerbaijan, he recalled the fuel supplies that have already taken place and expressed the view that electricity supplies may also be possible in the future.

"Armenia intends to develop cooperation in the energy sector with neighboring countries — Iran and Georgia, and, in the future, with Azerbaijan,” the Armenian speaker noted.
