Azerbaijan, Japan could expand visa-free travel arrangements

Following the filming of the Japanese movie, the number of Japanese tourists visiting Azerbaijan is expected to increase further. We can see that they are discovering Azerbaijan as a very interesting destination. We have introduced a one-year visa-free travel arrangement and, of course, look forward to its extension.

Axar.az reports that Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, said during a special session entitled “The Language of Peace and Combating Disinformation”, held as part of the Baku Culture and Media Dialogue Platform.

“A visa-free arrangement works both ways, as many Azerbaijanis also wish to travel to Japan. I believe that the relevant agencies and foreign ministries of our two countries can work together to introduce a fully visa-free regime, making travel easier for tourists and strengthening cultural ties between our countries,” Hikmet Hajiyev added.
