“Economic cooperation is one of the key pillars of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said at the 11th meeting of the Azerbaijan–Georgia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in Signagi.

Axar.az reports, citing Azertac, he noted that, amid ongoing geopolitical shifts, consolidating peace and stability among South Caucasus countries was of paramount importance.

“Georgia has consistently advocated peaceful coexistence and dialogue across the region. In this regard, we welcome the ongoing peace process between our neighboring countries and express our firm hope that it will lay the foundation for lasting regional peace and economic development,” Kobakhidze said.

According to the Georgian Prime Minister, the two countries enjoy strong relations and maintain high-level political dialogue, creating opportunities to make greater use of their bilateral economic cooperation potential.

Kobakhidze emphasized that the two sides aimed to increase the export potential of Georgian products, diversify economic ties and expand investment activities.
