Lavrov holding a meeting with Kerry in Rome

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is holding a meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry in Rome.

The meeting is taking place on the sidelines of the "Mediterranean: Roman Dialogue" conference.

Shortly before the beginning of the meeting, a reporter asked the two top diplomats whether diplomacy on the Syrian settlement was still "alive", to which Kerry replied it certainly was.
