Russia will not use national currencies in Turkey trade

Such an issue is not particularly discussed "in practical sphere" in relations between Russia and Turkey, a source says.

Axar.az reports, Russian authorities do not see broad prospects for use of national currencies in economic ties with Turkey but such demand exists in certain spheres, a source in the Russian government told reporters on Monday.

Such an issue is not particularly discussed "in practical sphere" in relations between Russia and Turkey, the source said. "Natural limits exist for use of the Turkish national currency - for tourism and construction servicing, but [no prospects] are foreseen for wide settlements - gas, etc.," the source added.
