Lavrov and Kerry talked about Aleppo

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry discussed the situation in east Aleppo by phone on Wednesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Axar.az informs, Lavrov told Kerry the Syrian government had long been prepared to provide a safe withdrawal for militants leaving Aleppo but opposition fighters had refused a ceasefire, the ministry said.
