Binali Yildirim met with Merkel

Turkish Pime Minister Binali Yıldırım met Saturday German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the sidelines of 53. International Munich Security Conference.

The breakfast meeting at the Bayerischer Hof hotel, which was closed to the press, lasted approximately for 50 minutes.

EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Youth and Sports Minister Akif Çağatay Kılıç, Defense Minister Fikri Işık, Turkey's envoy to Germany Ali Kemal Aydın were among the attendees to the meeting.

Following the conference in Munich, Yıldırım will pay a visit to the German city of Oberhausen where he is due to address more than 10,000 Turkish-Germans while German politicians and the media have already begun campaigns to prevent the event.
