Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov will pay an official visit to Russia on March 5-7, the press service of the Azerbaijani foreign ministry said on Friday.

Axar.az reports that, "As part of his visit, Minister Elmar Mamedyarov plans to meet with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, and other officials," the ministry said.

Apart from that, the Azerbaijani top diplomat is expected to take part in the opening of an exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, to speak at the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Diplomatic Academy and to attend a number of other events.
