Azerbaijan, Turkey finish joint military drills

The joint live-fire tactical exercises of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey have been completed, Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry told.

Axar.az reports citing to Defence Ministry the exercises that started on May 1 involved about 1,000 personnel, up to 80 military vehicles, in excess of 60 artillery pieces and mortar launchers, 12 combat and transport helicopters, as well as air defense and surface-to-air units equipped with modern defense systems.

The drills were held in accordance with the agreement signed between Azerbaijan and Turkey on military cooperation.
