Baku to host meeting on military-technical co-op

A meeting of the Russian-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission on military-technical cooperation will take place in Baku in December, announced Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

“Yesterday I met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. I’m grateful for the attention he pays to the cooperation between the two countries’ foreign ministries. This is an important component of multi-profile relationship that covers both economy and trade,” Lavrov said at the beginning of talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov in Baku on Monday, Axar.az reports citing TASS.

Lavrov also pointed out the successful development of cooperation between the two countries’ Security Councils.

Minister Mammadyarov, in turn, said that mutual visits between the two countries have become a good tradition. “Azerbaijan-Russia relations are expanding,” he noted.
