The recent test of a nuclear-capable missile carried out in France was a routine one, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said at a press conference on Thursday.

Axar.az reports citing TASS.

"All countries of the so-called Nuclear Five carry out tests in various forms and at different intervals in order to confirm the efficiency of their nuclear deterrence potential," he said. "This is why there is no drama about it, it is nothing special," Ryabkov added.

"There is no need to discuss anything in this particular case and use words other than ‘routine’," the senior Russian diplomat stressed.
