The meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place on September 12 in Moscow.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media that early parliamentary elections are scheduled in Israel for September 17. Netanyahu's next working trip to Russia was initiated by the Israeli side, and earlier the meeting wasn't listed on Russian President's schedule.

The most likely purpose of the visit of Israeli Prime Minister is that Netanyahu hopes that his meeting with Putin will impress Russian-speaking electorate in Israel and help him against the leader of the party Yisrael Beiteinu (Israel Our Home) Avigdor Lieberman.

Benjamin Netanyahu visited Moscow and met with Vladimir Putin on April 4, five days before early parliamentary elections in Israel.
