Ukraine is interested in deepening cooperation with Slovakia on joint control over the state border and in the area of labor migration, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Axar.az reports citing Ukranian media.

"We expect our Slovak partners to accelerate preparations for the signing of important bilateral agreements: on joint control at the Ukrainian-Slovak border and on the restoration of the full-fledged functioning of the Uzhhorod airport," the Head of State noted after the meeting with President of Slovakia Zuzana Čaputová in Kyiv.

The parties also discussed an important topic of preparation of the bilateral Agreement on employment and cooperation in the field of labor migration, as stated by the President of Ukraine.

For her part, the President of Slovakia noted that Ukraine had made great progress in recent years. “Mr. President informed me of his plans, and I am very pleased that his priorities include strengthening the rule of law and fighting corruption. We know from our experience that this is a long path,” Zuzana Čaputová said.
