California and 21 states go to trial against Trump

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, along with Governor Gavin Newsom, led a joint coalition of 24 attorneys general and the cities of Los Angeles and New York in filing a lawsuit against the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Axar.az reports citing ANF that California leads 24 Attorneys general and the cities of Los Angeles and New York in filing a lawsuit against National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. California is following through on its promise to take the Trump administration to court after the White House's latest move to roll back California's authority to set automotive vehicle emission standards.

The suit comes after Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Andrew Wheeler and Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao announced Thursday that the EPA would withdraw the 2013 Clean Air Act waiver that enabled California to set its own tailpipe greenhouse gas emission standards.
