The US withdrawal from Syria has led Russia to become a dominant military force involved in the conflict in the Middle East.
Axar.az reports citing The Times of Israel that many Israeli officials are concerned about the US withdrawal from the region, the newspaper said. In their view, Trump's decision could spur the grouping of Israel's enemy, Iran, Libya, Syria and Gaza.
Israel is also worried that Moscow will destroy its planes with "ground-type" missiles.
Former Israeli ambassador to the United States Michael Oren, speaking to the newspaper, said Israel must reconcile with the balance of power in the Middle East.
"Israel should not create an image of Russia's ally, but it cannot be declared an enemy," he said. We have to get to them with 'modus vivendi' (redemption agreement). ”
