Erdogan invites Johnson to meet at the border

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has invited British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron to meet in Istanbul or the Turkish cities of Gaziantep or Shanlıurfa, bordering Syria.

Axar.az informs citing the RIA Novosti.

"Two days ago, Boris Johnson called me and offered to meet with four of us with Merkel and Macron in London. I replied that it is better in Istanbul or in the vicinity of the border of Gaziantep or Shanlıurfa, " Erdogan told Turkish reporters on board of the plane, returning from Sochi.

According to the Turkish leader, if his colleagues refuse to come to Turkey, then such a meeting could be held in London on the sidelines of the summit of leaders of NATO member countries on December 3-4.
