Belarus will have to respond to the deployment of troops near the country's borders.
Axar.az reports that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko made the statement on the deployment of US servicemen in Lithuania.
“There has never been a troop of demonstrators across the ocean near our borders. It never happened. I think Lithuania case is the first time. This is a precedent. Second, of course, we will have to respond to such demonstrations. In this case, we must understand that we do not give up arms. We are a peaceful country and we do not want to fight, ”Lukashenko said.
According to him, this is an armored tank punch and its purpose cannot be reduced:
“We are well aware of what fists are on our border and what enemies we can face, if not God. We are ready for it. Therefore, only 30 tanks for our army should be smiling. We can resist even without moving. ”
In October, the US dispatched 500 servicemen, 30 Abrams tanks and 25 Bradley PDMs to Lithuania.
The troops are deployed at the Pabrade landfill, 15 km from the Belarusian border.
