Russia continues to mediate in the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Axar.az reports the statement came from the Russian Foreign Ministry in a statement issued on the eve of Sergei Lavrov's visit to Armenia on November 10.

"Supporting the parties in the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh is among the priorities of Russia's foreign policy and is in the spotlight of the Russian president," the statement said.

The Foreign Ministry announced that the resolution of the conflict should be realized only through political and diplomatic means. Moscow said the move would allow them to move ahead and compromise.
