The Amulsar issue has been resolved nationally and is already closed. Attempts to upgrade it will lead to resistance on a global scale and could lead to a crisis of power, ”the statement said.

Amulsar is the second largest gold deposit in Armenia. The official Iravan field wants to transfer to the British company Lidian and start operating again. Residents of nearby settlements are opposed to this step by the government. They believe that the development of this field will create an environmental catastrophe in the region and negatively affect the tourism potential of the region.
