Turkey: We have spent 40 billion on Syrians

We have spent $ 40 billion on Syrian migrants over the past 8.5 years.

Axar.az reports this was stated by Fuad Ogtay, the Aide to the President of Turkey. He recalled that the EU has spent just $ 3.5 billion on migrants in Turkey over the past three years:

“This material burden is not the amount that a country will be able to handle alone for as long as the EU and international structures do not provide the promised support. Geographical proximity should not make any country the only one responsible for such a tragedy. We want to take action, not advice from the international community. ”
