Iran declared ambassador an "undesirablle person"

The British ambassador to Iran, Rob Macaire, has been declared an "undesirable person."

Axar.az reports that the official representative of the Iranian judicial authority, Gholamhossein Esmaili stated this.

He pointed to the ambassador's involvement in domestic affairs as the reason for such a decision.

Esmaili said he hoped the ambassador would be deported soon.

Earlier, the British ambassador was detained in Iran for participating in student protests against the shooting of a Ukrainian aircraft in Iran, which led to a diplomatic scandal.
