Putin entrusted North Caucasus to him

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with former Prosecutor-General Yuri Chaika.

Axar.az reports Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists today.

Peskov suggested Putin be the president's authorized representative for the North Caucasus Federal Circuit. He said that he had not yet signed a directive on Chaika's appointment.

Chaika was released on January 20 after serving 14 years as Attorney General. Igor Krasnov, the Deputy Chairman of the Investigation Committee, was replaced.
