German Chancellor Angela Merkel has sent a letter to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan regarding the earthquake in Elazig.

Axar.az informs that, this was reported by the German Government's Press and Information Office.

The letter says that Merkel expressed his condolences to the wounded and offered condolences to the victims.

"On behalf of the German Government, I extend my condolences and at the same time express our readiness to provide active support."

As a result of the earthquake in Turkey's Elazig and Malatya, 22 people were killed and 1031 injured.
