Putin appoints an Armenian as ambassador to Venezuela

President Vladimir Putin has appointed Sergei Melik-Bagdasarov as Russia's ambassador to Venezuela.

Axar.az reports this information is included in the Russian legal information portal.

Sergei Melik-Bagdasarov, 52, is Armenian. He previously served as Deputy Director of the Latin American Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
