The US wants to do it in Iran - Khamenei

The US is trying to separate the Iranian government and its people.

Axar.az reports that Iran's Supreme Religious Leader Ali Khamenei has said it.

“You see the American propaganda. They want to create a gap between the sides. The US side is constantly engaged in this,” he said.

The parliamentary elections in Iran will be held on February 21. 7,000 people will compete for the 290 mandates in the election.

Although 15,000 were nominated for the election earlier, the Constitutional Protection Council did not allow 8,000 of them to stand for election.
