President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today met with the Chairman of the Italian Senate, Senator Maria Elisabetta Alberti Caselatti.

Italian Senate Speaker Maria Elisabetta Alberti Caselatti reminded of his visit to Azerbaijan and first Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva to Rome. He noted that the friendship between the two countries is expanding. Speaking about the official visit of the Italian President to our country, the Speaker of the Senate said that the Azerbaijani-Italian cooperation based on historical ties is developing in all areas.
