Pashinyan acknowledged this statement with Karabakh - MFA

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan has commented on the statement of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashkin during his speech in Parliament that his position on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has not changed in the slightest since 2018.

Axar.az informs that, head of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Leyla Abdullayeva noted that with this statement, the Armenian Prime Minister acknowledges that it is Armenia that is hindering the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and thus ensuring peace and security in the region.

“The statement clearly shows who has refused negotiations, who has defied implementation of requirements of the international community, firstly, UN Security Council Resolutions, thus who prevents regulation of the conflict. The Armenian leadership should understand that these statements do not serve the settlement of the conflict through negotiations, and finally should realize that Azerbaijan will restore its territorial integrity in the framework of its internationally recognized borders, with reference to its Constitution and the norms and principles of international law. Armenia is responsible for any tensions that may arise in the framework of the settlement of the conflict," the official of MFA stressed.
