President of Romania Klaus Werner Iohannis has sent a congratulatory letter to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

I extend my sincere congratulations to you and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of your national holiday - Republic Day.

I am confident that the development of dialogue and cooperation between Romania and Azerbaijan will continue within the institutional framework of the strategic partnership. Strengthening and diversification of bilateral economic relations, including the dialogue between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the European Union through cooperation in energy and transport projects of regional significance, embodies important areas of our relations.
