On October 30, Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova spoke on the phone with Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Shentop.

Axar.az informs that, Gafarova shared this on her Twitter page.

"In connection with the earthquake in Izmir today, I called my colleague, Speaker of the Parliament Mustafa Shentop, and expressed my condolences and best wishes. The prayers of the Azerbaijani people are always with brotherly Turkey," she said.
