France declares: "We do not recognize the NKR"

France's position on Nagorno-Karabakh has not changed, and the country does not recognize the so-called "Nagorno-Karabakh Republic".

Axar.az reports that the statement came from French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zacharie Gross.

The ambassador said that the decision of the Senate is not binding:

"Only dialogue between the parties can resolve the conflict. As the position of the French government has not changed, I do not see any reason for this issue to affect French-Azerbaijani relations. That would be illogical. "
