Tonayan must be held responsible for crimes - Hajiyev

On October 3 and 4, the OSCE appealed to then-Armenian Defense Minister David Tonayan to stop bombing the city of Tartar, where civilians live. But he did not stop. On the contrary, if 1,000 missiles were fired at Tartar during the day, the number of missiles was increased to 2,300-2,400 at night.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, during a visit to Tartar by representatives of the diplomatic corps and heads of international organizations in Azerbaijan.

According to him, even if the war criminal is dismissed from the post of Defense Minister, he must be held accountable for such crimes.
