Turkish FM: Turkey always supports Azerbaijan integrity

Since the beginning of the 1990s illegal occupation of 20 per cent of Azerbaijani lands has been approached as “frozen conflict”. The latest events showed that there is no “frozen conflict”. Conflict is a conflict and it can flare up at any time.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Chavusoglu.

The Minister noted that Turkey has always supported discussed solution way based on territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan and this way of solution based on international law and UN Security Council resolutions:

“In the end, we welcomed the joint statement signed between Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia. According to the request of Azerbaijan Turkey will take duty for maintaining peace in the region and monitoring the ceasefire.”
