The Turkish side prefers multilateral cooperation in the region, including Georgia. Turkey, like Azerbaijan, supports the territorial integrity of Georgia.

Axar.az .az reports that the statement came from Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavushoghlu during a meeting with his Georgian counterpart Davit Zalkaliani.

The Minister stressed that discussions were also held on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline, and TANAP projects.

It was noted that useful discussions for regional cooperation will be held at the forthcoming trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Georgia in Baku.
